The Life Improvement Centre began its work in early 2008 and was inspired by the Starfish Thrower story, hence the logo. The story illustrates how what is seen as an apparently small and insignificant action can be life changing.
Ron, the founder of the Life Improvement Centre, has worked with adults with mental health problems for over 25 years and has extensive experience in helping people who feel trapped by their circumstances. Being frustrated by a purely medical view, and aware that an approach that looks at things from many angles is far more useful when helping people, Ron has studied extensively in many areas and philosophies in recent years and continues to do so. In addition to having earned a Psychology degree and becoming a Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming, he is also a qualified Transpersonal Hypnotherapist and has extended his training into Counselling and Cognitive & Behaviour Therapies (CBT). Ron has also studied and trained in more complimentary fields such as energy psychology, Reiki, Emotrance, EFT, Dynamind, Huna, and mediumship as he believes that no one methodology has all the answers and each has something to offer.
The aim at the Life Improvement Centre is to help people to make those changes in their lives that will lead them to live happier, fuller, and more rewarding lives. Many modern forms of therapy are geared to changing either: thoughts, feelings, or behaviours – however Ron prefers to use an approach that varies from simple counselling through to deep subconscious reprogramming in order to make the changes at all levels and create a long lasting change to improve the client’s quality of life. Using a variety of approaches, he can take the most useful aspects of various forms of therapy and seamlessly combine them in the most effective way for the individual. Ron likes to call this “Personal Alchemy & Transformation”, enriching those who go through the process.
At the Life Improvement Centre, we do not make outrageous claims of ‘instant fixes’ or cures for anything and everything. Each new client is offered a free consultation to see if we can provide the right support to help them reach their desired goal.
